After receiving my MFA in acting from Mason Gross School of the Arts, I
taught at Ursinus College and then went on to start my own company (again with Laura), Desiderata, LLC, a training support company. I’ve written scores of scripts, training workbooks, simulation scenarios, and
brochures through the course of my career. I collaborated with Frenchtown artist Barry Sharplin to create FF Manny Thing and Me, a children’s picture book about a curious creature that looks like a cross between a dragon and a kangaroo. FF Manny Thing is clearly the result of reading countless stories over the years to my two children who are now both young adults. My personal favorites are any of the Frog and Toad books, Shel Silverstein, and Dr. Seuss. As an actor and teacher, my focus has been on understanding communication and the vagaries of human behavior that result from it. The book project that drives this website, Social Tsunami: Real Stories of Riding the Internet Wave, is a natural extension of a career long fascination with how we humans connect and communicate with each other. The stories we’ve received already are quite extraordinary. I look forward to reading yours. |
